Founded in 2006
Authentic Tunisia began as a small import operation built on personal relationships — with the olive oil cooperatives of the Sahel, the date growers of the Djerid oases, and the rug weavers of Kairouan. Two decades later, that hasn't changed. We still work with the people who make these goods, not through intermediaries, and we still travel to the regions ourselves to check on a harvest or a workshop.
From One Relationship to a Wholesale Line

Authentic Tunisia is founded, sourcing olive oil and Deglet Nour dates direct from family growers in the Sahel and the Djerid.
Deepening the Relationships
Regular sourcing trips to Kairouan, Nabeul, and Cap Bon build direct ties with rug weavers, ceramicists, and harissa producers.
A Taste-Test, Going Wholesale
We're formalizing our line — five signature foods and a growing roster of artisan goods — into a proper US wholesale offering.
On American Shelves
Our goal: specialty retailers and importers across the US carrying goods that still carry their maker's name.

Every batch of oil, dates, or peppers is graded by hand before it's packed. What doesn't meet the standard doesn't ship.
