Lezard Rouge and the Oases of the Mountains
Depart at 9:15am (8:45am on Tues/Thurs) via 4x4 Land Cruiser. Arrive at Metlaoui's Train station and board the Old Bey's Train. The train will enter Selja's Gorges, giving you fantastic views of the desert mountains. Train arrives at 12:15pm (12:45pm on Tues/Thurs), and continue to Tamerza. Enjoy a poolside lunch at the Tamerza Palace Hotel. Visit Tamerza's Oasis, with its gorgeous waterfalls and canyons (which once held a powerful river). Continue to Chebika, where you'll find another magical oasis tucked away in the mountains.
Return to Tozeur at 5:30pm.

Douz and Dunes *Best on Thursdays
Depart at 9:00am via 4x4 Land Cruiser. Cross the Chott el Jerid and pass Kebili. Arrive in Douz and discover this Saharan portal town. Ride the dunes in your 4x4 and spend time out in the huge dunes. Lunch at Douz Hotel. Afterwards, enjoy a camel trek.
Return to Tozeur at 5:30pm.

Ong Jemel and Desert Oases
Depart at 9:30am via 4x4 Land Cruiser. Cross the Chott El Gharsa and continue to Chebika. Here you'll walk on the canyons and discover hidden fresh water pools and forests of palm tress. Next, continue to Tamerza where you'll be enchanted by the cascades and gorgeous birds. Relax at the cafe and sip a tea next to the band playing malouf music. Have a poolside lunch at Tamerza Palace Hotel. After, go to Mides and be amazed at this ancient deserted Berber village. Continue back over the Chott el Gharsa and head over to the Star Wars site. Next visit the Ong Jemel site, where you will watch the sun set over the dunes.
Return to Tozeur at 6:30pm.
