Before You Go | Getting prepared

There is no strict dress code in Tunisia, although a few guidelines.

Foreigners are expected to be respectful to Tunisians, and in traditional cities dress more moderately. This may mean instead of shorts and a tank top in Sousse, a t-shirt and capris in Tozeur and Douz.

As a rule of thumb, the more you cover up, the less you'll be noticed as a tourist.

On the beach: bikinis are acceptable on private and public beaches.

At hotels: No dress code in hotels

At Mosques and Religious places: To enter, shorts (even for men) and skirts above the knee are forbidden, and women must cover their head.
